Return and Refund Policy

1. This is the Return and Refund Policy (“Policy”) of Decodeal Online Pvt. Ltd.,a company incorporated under the laws of India and having its registered office at 2nd Floor, TS chambers, opp. Sai manglam, Vyapar Vihar, bilaspur, Chhatisgarh (“Company”). The Company through its website www.decodeal.in (“Website”) is engaged in the business of selling hardware products,Electrical Products and sanitary fittings (collectively the “Products”) to the users of its Website (“User”).

2. In keeping with Company’s goal of ensuring User satisfaction, the Company has a friendly and hassle free return and refund policy (“Return and Refund Policy”). This Return and Refund Policy, together with the Terms of Use, sets out Company’s procedures and policies in accepting Product exchange or returns, once a Product has been delivered to a User after purchase from the Website. Any return of Products by Users shall be governed by and subject to the terms and conditions set out under this Return and Refund Policy and such other policy as the Company may notify from time to time.

3. Users are required to peruse and understand the terms of this Return and Refund Policy. If the User does not agree to the terms contained in this Return and Refund Policy, he/she is advised to forthwith leave and stop using the Website. The terms contained in this Return and Refund Policy shall be accepted without modification and you agree to be bound by the terms contained herein by initiating a request for purchase of Product(s) on the Website.

4. If the User is dissatisfied with the purchased Product, or in the event where there are defects and deficiencies in the Product (attributable to, and accepted by the Company after due verification at its sole discretion), a User may initiate a request for exchange or returning the Product. However, there are certain Products such as Electrical Products specified as “Non-Returnable” on the Website in the Product description, for which the Company does not offer a return or replacement.

5. Unlike most websites the Company does not forfeit the shipping and cash on delivery charges. Shipping charges for the Products returned are refunded in full and the cash on delivery charges which are charged on order level are refunded proportionately in case the User chooses to return a Product purchased during a promotion/scheme.

6. For Products where installation is required to be provided by the Company: (a) the User is advised to not to open the Product packaging by himself/herself. The Company’s authorised personnel shall help in un boxing and installation of the Product and the return period for such Products shall commence from the date of installation of the Product by the Company’s authorised personnel. Should the Product which requires an installation by the Company’s personnel is opened by the User, the Company may at its sole discretion refuse to accept the return or refund of the Product.

7. A User is permitted to fully or partially cancel orders prior to its dispatch. For refund in case the User has purchased any Product during an offer or a scheme, the User shall be entitled to a proportionate refund of the total amounts paid by him/her. Further, if a User has purchased Products which form a part of a package of other Products, or if the Product forms a part of a promotional package (collectively, the “Bundled Package”), the User shall be required to return all the Products that form a part of the Bundled Package to process refunds. For illustrative purposes, if the User has purchased a handle and Wire as 1 (one) Product in a promotional package, the User will be required to return both the handle and the Wire and will not be permitted to return either only the handle or only the Wire from the Bundled Package.

8. A User can make a return request either through the Website wherein it can request for return of the Product under the return and refunds tab or by calling on the customer care number as provided on the Website, providing the details of the order. The User can return the Product without providing any reason for the same. However, the Product so returned should be unused, unsoiled, without any stains and with non-tampered quality check seals/warranty seals (wherever applicable) with original price tags and other [tags/lamination] intact. Also, the Product should not be damaged and returned without any scratches, dents, tears or holes. The Product should be returned in the Product's original packaging and along with original invoice. If any of the conditions are not met then the field executive may refuse to take the Product and the return request shall not be processed. Notwithstanding the generality of foregoing, return of or refund for purchased Products shall not be entertained by the Company if: (a) The Product has been used for reasons apart from checking the built of the product. If the Company is satisfied that the Product has been used for reasons apart from checking the built of the product,the Company shall reserve the right to reject the return of the Product; (b) The Product has been used, washed or soiled; (c) The price tags, brand tags, box, original packaging material, and accompanying accessories have been used, damaged or discarded by the User; (d) The serial number/batch number/bar code of the Product, as applicable, does not match the Company’s records; (e) The accessories delivered with the Product (such as screws, bolts, nuts, etc) are not returned along with the Product, in an undamaged and unused condition; (f) There are any dents, scratches, tears or any other damage to the Products or any part thereof; (g) The gifts or additional benefits accompanying the purchased Product have not been returned, or upon being returned, show signs of being used, washed, soiled or defect; or (h) The Company is satisfied that the Product has been rendered defective or unusable.

9. The request for return of the Product must be made within 7 days of delivery of the Product to the User or installation of the Product, as the case may be. In case issues are reported after 7 days of delivery of the Product to the User or installation of the Product, the Company reserves the right to reject the request for return of the Product at its discretion.

10. Return of purchased Products are facilitated through Company’s reverse-logistics partners. Upon a User making a request for return of Product on the Website and the same being duly acknowledged by the Company, Company’s reverse-logistics partners shall get in touch with the User in order to collect the purchased Products from the User and delivering it to the Company. While the Company has made reasonable endeavours to ensure delivery and pick-ups across multiple locations in India, currently, the Company has a select list of areas where deliveries and collection can be undertaken by its reverse-logistics partners. In events where the Company is unable to facilitate a pick-up of the purchased Product for return from the User, the User is required to self-ship the Product to the Company’s warehouse. Upon self-shipping the Product to the Company’s warehouse, the User shall be required to scan the courier/postal receipt to sales@decodeal.in for Company’s records. Wherever the User is required to self-ship the purchased Product, the Company shall credit a sum of Rs 50 credit points to the User’s account. The aforesaid credit is subject to the returned Products passing quality check at Company’s returns desk/warehouse. The address of Company’s warehouse is: 2nd Floor. 11. In the event where the User claims to have self-shipped the Product and the Company does not receive the returned Product or the package containing such Product is empty, the User shall be required to submit the ‘proof of delivery’ received from the courier/postal agency to the Company to prove his/her claim of return of Products through self-shipment to the Company. It is specifically clarified that any refunds or exchange shall be processed by the Company only upon it receiving the returned Products and concluding required quality checks or receiving the ‘proof of delivery’ from the User, as the case may be.

12. At the time of the delivery of the Product to the User, if the packaging of the Product is damaged or distorted by any means, the User is advised not to accept the product and immediately return the Product back to the delivery person then and there. If the Product is accepted by the User, then the Company shall not be liable for the return and refund of the Product.

13. In case of any manufacturing defect in the Product or the Product being different from what was ordered by the Unser, the Company shall replace the old Product and provide the User with a new and right Product. In case the new Product is not available or the Product is not in stock or has been permanently discontinued by the manufacturer, the refund for the entire Product or part(s) of the Product will be provided by the Company.

14. After the Product is returned by the User, it shall be inspected at the warehouse of the Company or such other location as the Company may deem fit and necessary. If the inspecting team is satisfied as to the fulfilment of the terms and conditions of this Return Policy then the return and/or refund request shall be processed within 7-10 business days of the completion of the inspection. It is further clarified that the Company shall not be required to make any return or refund in respect of any Product that it deems ineligible for a refund based on such quality checks.

15. The money will be refunded in the same mode in which the payment was received. In case the payment is made via cash on delivery, a cheque will be issued or an online transfer to the bank account will be made, after the User provides us the bank details by filing a form which shall be provided at the time when the Product is returned by him/her. The User will need to provide the following information to enable us to process a refund to his/her bank account. 16. Under no circumstances, refunds can be processed to third-party bank accounts. The name on which the Product is ordered should match with the name of the bank account holder.

17. The Company shall make all reasonable attempts to keep the User apprised of the status of refund through updates shared on the User’s registered mobile number and email address. The Company disclaims all liabilities that may arise on account of its failure to keep the User apprised of the status of the refund. 18. The parties agree that courts located in Bilaspur, Chhattisgarh, India shall have exclusive jurisdiction over all controversies arising under this Return and Refund Policy.
